About the Role

We currently have casual opportunities available for Laundry Workers to join our Team in Warabrook. You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed in a world-class production facility providing laundry and linen services to a wide range of clients in the hospitality industry.

In the role you will:

  • Support our employees with a disability, recognising their right to inclusion, participation and self-determination
  • Liaise with team leaders, and other team members in the Laundry to provide an efficient delivery and linen supply service

About you

  • A demonstrated commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet seasonal deadlines including weekends and evenings
  • Physical fitness and a capacity to undertake manual handling tasks safely, which may involve assisted lifting, bending, twisting, pushing or pulling and repetitive actions
  • Effective verbal and listening skills, seeking and sharing appropriate knowledge and able to adjust communication style as appropriate
  • Able to resolve conflict and assesses when to escalate issues
  • Be willing to provide a NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)

Nice to have

  • Experience with regulatory Laundry Practices AS/NZS 4146:2000.
  • Qualification or equivalent experience in supporting people with a disability
