  • Salary: $26.79 – $27.08 per hour + 25% casual loading – WHA2 – Casual (up to 21 May 2023)
  • Employed on a casual basis, you will be responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective service that involves primarily cleaning of the Kimba Hospital and Health Services. You will be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the health service, and undertake mopping, dusting, polishing, washing, sweeping and vacuuming of floors, window cleaning, cleaning of toilets, bed making, and rubbish collection, removal and disposal. You may also be required to undertake laundry duties including the collection and delivery of linen. You may be required assist with catering such as preparation of vegetables, meat, salads and sandwiches, prepare breakfast trolleys, and deliver food to patients.     You will need to have basic knowledge of safe working conditions and a commitment to providing high quality customer service. With a flexible approach to work and rostering systems, you will be able to work alone or within a team environment, and work within set timeframes. You will be willing to provide assistance and cooperation to other staff, and perform under general direction or work under limited supervision. You will be committed to using discretion and maintaining strict confidentiality.

    Kimba District Hospital is a 20 bed health unit serving Kimba and the surrounding rural community. There are 12 beds for patients receiving active medical treatment and eight aged care beds. We also have an 11 bed hostel for clients requiring a low level of care, and eight independent living units.

    Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
