The Position

If yes, then look no further as CEA is currently looking for reliable, proactive and enthusiastic individuals to join our well established and dynamic Corporate Hospitality team. We are currently recruiting for multiple full time vacancies and a casual opportunity. You will be responsible for providing administrative and hospitality support to all areas of the organisation as well as external stakeholders.

The Person

As the Corporate Hospitality Assistant you will be responsible for providing internal support services and delivering employee catering requirements on a daily basis; the role is highly visible and vital to employee engagement. You will have contact with people from all areas and levels of the business as well as external visitors and clients including dignitaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain conference rooms in a ready presentation state to support internal/external meetings and events;
  • Professionally and promptly set up and clear away catering for meetings;
  • Assist with ordering external catering/resources as required;
  • Replenish tea, coffee, sugar and administrative forms in all kitchens and break rooms;
  • Assist with stocktake and ordering of staff amenities including milk, fruit and biscuits;
  • Assist with stocktake, ordering and organisation of stationery resources;
  • Assist with ordering, collection and set-up of ‘Sticky Buns’ and fruit platters for Sticky Bun or equivalent staff meetings;
  • Provide backup to the Receptionists as required; and
  • Some travel /logistics within Fyshwick (3 occupied buildings) may be required.

Essential

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • AGSVA clearance level: Baseline or eligibility to obtain; capacity for NV1 clearance (10 years checkable residential & employment history) an advantage
  • Highly developed customer relations skills;
  • A high level of initiative and professionalism with a proactive approach;
  • Strong communication skills, including excellent English language skills and professional phone manner;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be proactive in resolving time/resource issues;
  • Physically able to carry medium weight items on a daily basis (coffee pots, fruit bowls etc.); and
  • Current Food Hygiene certification preferred;

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position, you must be:

  • An Australian Citizen; and
  • Eligible for an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance (AGSVA) and the successful candidate MUST be able to obtain clearance prior to commencement.
