About the opportunity
The Safety Partner is responsible for providing work health and safety knowledge and advice services to a specific region. You will use your work health and safety knowledge and skills to maintain a safe workplace, add value to the business and achieve performance in accordance with business goals and expectations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Create a safety culture that will positively influence a healthy work environment, ensuring effective service delivery.
• Coordinate work health and safety practices and processes, in consultation with the Team Leader Safety Partners.
• Assist the development and implementation of work health and safety management systems to support effective work health and safety.
• Coach, advise on work health and safety processes and practices.
• Control risks, reduce injury and illness and improve work health and safety performance.
• Monitor accidents and incidents and develop pro-active approaches to minimise risks and improve performance.
• Establish and maintain effective business partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with managers to conduct reporting on work health and safety issues, reviewing trends, measures and outcomes.
• Prepare and conduct workplace safety audits, risk assessments and investigations.

 
Role Requirements:

• Must have experience in a similar role in WHS/Safety.
• Related qualification is preferred.
• Experience within a government organisation would be advantageous.
