To support this continued growth, we are currently looking for a Store Setup & Support Officer to join us and support the fitout of new and updated stores. 

About the Role

This role sits within our Store Operations & Support department, which works with both existing and new stores to enhance their retail operations and overall retail performance. Based out of our Preston head office, but with the majority of your time spent working in stores across the country, your primary focus as a Store Setup and Support Officer is to assist with the physical setup of brand new stores, as well as supporting existing stores, across the Chemist Warehouse Group with relays, relocations and expansions.

Reporting to the Store Projects Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will require you to:

  • Assist with the setup of new stores by open date
  • Implement Planograms at new store setups/relays
  • Implement Chemist Warehouse-approved merchandising at new store setups/relays
  • Assist with the preparation of merchandising materials for new store setups/relays
  • Support existing stores with relays, expansions, and relocations
  • Work with staff at existing stores to ensure that all Planogramming & Merchandising is implemented in accordance with Chemist Warehouse guidelines
  • Provide training for new and existing staff
  • Assist with the development & testing of new Merchandising strategies

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone from a retail background, with experience in merchandising and planogramming for busy retail stores. As the role will support stores across the country, the successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s licence and must be able to travel on a regular basis

In addition, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate their:

  • Familiarity with the MS Office software suite (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Drivers licence required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Confidence and ability to train staff when required
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks
  • Comfort working within a team environment and liaising with people from a diverse range of multicultural backgrounds and genders

The successful applicant will also be required to return a satisfactory National Criminal History Check outcome.
