    The Opportunity 

    Bring your current industry experience and knowledge in Retail and join our innovative team of teachers across our Western Sydney Campuses.

    The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. Be part of an organisation that makes a difference to people’s lives. 

    About you

    We are seeking passionate industry experts, keen to share their knowledge in retail. You have strong customer service skills and can engage with customers and team members effortlessly, working effectively in large and small service environments.

    You can use all facets of retail technology including Point of Sale and scanning and understand stock handling and deliveries. You understand and can contribute to workplace health and safety practices and can identify and respond to security risks.

    You have the drive and engagement to interact with a diverse range of students. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to share information with your peers and students face to face, and when required, via virtual learning platforms. You are a great team player who strives for success in all aspects of your day-to-day activities. 

    Additional Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Retail
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
  • TAE 40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor,
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
