About the role

We are currently seeking an energetic and well-rounded professional Assistant Banquet Manager to assist our Banquet Operations Manager. As an Assistant Banquet Manager, you will be instrumental in the implementation and maintenance of Stamford Plaza Brisbane’s philosophy of providing exemplary service for all Conferences and Events. 

 Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in leading Banquet Operations in a 5 star Hotel environment
• Must have an RSA Certificate
• Must have legal rights to work in Australia

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Effectively supervise and motivate your team
• Be organised and have an eye for detail
• Be able to multi task in a fast paced environment while constantly maintaining a calm demeanour
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to build strong customer relationships 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
• A strong understanding of budgeting and effective rostering and cost management
• Ability to work effectively with the catering sales team to achieve a shared goal
• Flexibility of working afternoons and evenings including weekends and public holidays
• Have the ability to deliver exceptional service standards and overall customer experience
