  • 12 month parental leave contract
  • We will consider a 4-day part time, or 5-day full time working week for the right applicant
  • TCSA Salaried Award, Clerk Grade 5 $99,881 Annual Package (includes base salary $89,707 + superannuation)
  • Taronga Zoo are seeking a HR Advisor to join the People, Culture & Safety team!

    About the Role…

    This is a 12 month parental leave  HR Advisor contract, supporting and providing Human Resources advice and direction to Taronga’s managers and employees, in line with organisational policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

    We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic and well-rounded HR Advisor to hit the ground running! No two days are the same here at Taronga. This is a very special and unique role where you’ll be involved in a vast range of HR duties.

  • Key Accountabilities…

  • Provide advisory services to Managers in the areas of HR practices, Industrial Relations, legislation, company policy and advice.
  • Undertake appropriate Human Resource and Payroll administrative processes to support the efficient operations of the workplace in line with legislative requirements.
  • Develop tools to support the implementation of Human Resource initiatives.
  • Work with HR and Payroll systems to address the needs of the organisation and its people.
  • Provide support to HR team surrounding recruitment, organisational development, coaching and counselling and investigations
  • Assist with rolling out new programs and initiatives
  • Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy and subsequent plans, programs and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide support and advice in relation to role description reviews and evaluations
  • Supporting team project work including enhancement of internal dashboards, reporting, process documentation, online team content and much more
  • Supports Divisional Recruitment activity in conjunction with the recruitment team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders both internal and external.

  • Motivated and driven to step into a busy and exciting role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • NSW Working with Children Check
