AO6 Digital Business Development Officer (E-Commerce)

  • $68.92 per hour + Super (Agency Contractor)
  • ASAP start
  • 12 month contract (likely extension)
  • Townsville QLD location

ABOUT

We are recruiting an exciting Digital Business Development Officer roles focussed on E-Commerce for a state government client that contributes to the economic growth within Queensland. This is achieved by assisting local businesses to develop and extend exports, as well as increasing the number of investment ready projects across Queensland.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to provide advice and support on all aspects of digital integration to individual business to enable them to achieve online sales to international markets. Candidates with a strong E-Commerce and business consulting background will be highly regarded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understanding of business management and development to complete business ecommerce analysis, digital improvement plans and/or designing solutions for cloud-based ecosystems
  • Developing and implementing ecommerce market selection and entry strategies in collaboration with export client managers based on trends and technology
  • Creating and implementing digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and growth in traffic as well as monitoring and managing performance including campaigns and refining campaign flows and optimization
  • Identify and recruit new clients while maintaining existing clients, and foster and strengthen relationships with partnering organisations to enhance collaboration and a client pipeline.
  • Website development, building platforms and shopfronts, and using existing international platforms and feed management systems
  • Understanding supply chains and logistics across B2C, B2B, B2B2C
  • Inventory management, shopping experience for customers, shipping and payment solutions and integration, security and risk management, and data and trend analysis
  • Support with grants attraction and implementation

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience in a related role, with the ability to identify investment and export opportunities for Queensland.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects, initiatives and programs and facilitate quality service delivery to achieve outcomes across a diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in an E-Commerce focussed role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and implement change in a client facing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen to manage complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills and has a high level of resilience while operating in a high-pressured environment with competing priorities.
