Position Details

Clontarf Aboriginal College is seeking two dynamic and engaging Assistant Heads of Boarding.

This is a middle residential leadership position within Clontarf Aboriginal College.

This position is responsible for the efficient running and management of the Boarding program, with key responsibilities including, but not limited to:
• Responsible for general wellbeing and behaviour of boarding students.
• Foster and maintain strong positive relationships with boarding parents and communities.
• Lead and line manage staff during shifts.
• Oversee the student and operational needs of the boarding house during shifts.
• Work closely with other members of the College and Boarding Leadership Teams to achieve the best outcomes for boarding students.
• Implement and maintain consistent and cohesion of processes, policies and practices.
• Facility management of the day-to-day operations of the boarding house.

Selection Criteria
Essential
• Certificate IV in Residential Care (or willingness to gain) or relevant qualification in education, community services or youth work.
• A proven capacity to work with Aboriginal youth.
• Current C class drivers licence with PTD authorisation (or willingness to obtain)
• Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

Highly Desirable:
•Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School or the ability to achieve the required Accreditation.
• Trauma informed practice experience.
• MR or LR class driver’s license.
