  • The Role

There are several opportunities for the role of Administration Officer in the Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet (MPC) Branch, within Ministerial and Executive Coordination & Communication (MECC) Division. We are looking for people who have good attention to detail, are service-focused and enjoy working in a team environment under direction from a supervisor.

    We offer an interesting and positive work environment where your work will contribute to the administrative support and services we provide to our Ministers and Senior Executives. There will also be additional opportunities to broaden your skills and experience by volunteering to work on critical business across the MPC Branch which could involve Cabinet matters, Senate Estimates, Ministerial Briefs, Defence Media and Parliament’s Question Time.

    About our Team
    The MPC Branch sits within the MECC Division and provides direct support to our Ministers and our Senior Executives . We work closely with ministerial and executive staff. We play a unique role in managing expectations and priorities, problem solving and liaising with stakeholders on behalf of Defence to achieve great outcomes.

     We foster a strong network of relationships across government which we rely on to get our work done efficiently and to the highest standards. The MPC Branch is in a position of trust and relied on by our Ministers, Senior Executives and Defence so it is crucial that our team is discrete, professional, and have a positive attitude.
