The Company

Join a highly respected Foodservice business with a strong focus on partnering with leading multinational players in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) space. Core to their offering is technical food innovations, New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing processing.

This is a well-established QSR provider who are affiliated with both the network of a hugely successful international Foodservice business and the local processing capability of an Australian-owned technical food solutions company with around 250 employees locally.

The Role

Due to a recent promotion in the team, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced and technically-minded Foodservice relationship manager and business developer to join the organisation as the ANZ Strategic Account Manager. As part of a small and close-knit team, supported by two much larger organisations, you will primarily work closely with instantly recognisable leading QSR accounts that have a global reach across the ANZ region. This will be both directly with some clients and also indirectly with food processors and distribution partners for others. This opportunity has a broad focus on food coatings as well as other ingredient components. Visit processors and manufacturing partners, both locally and overseas, to devise innovative food solutions.

Part of the role will also be to support the local Key Account Manager and drive strategy across Tier 2 QSR brands, with more of a focus on seasoning and sauces. You will have some interactions and involvement with these customers also. 

Day-to-day:

  • Work strategically with direct Tier 1 QSR customers
  • Partner with Tier 2 QSR businesses
  • Support the local Key Account Manager
  • Help develop relationships
  • Work on NPD projects and value-add
  • Participate in some interstate and international travel
  • Drive revenue growth and look for new partnership opportunities
  • Provide technical food knowledge, with a scientific approach
  • Work with food processors and manufacturers
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Skills & Experience

  • 5 years’ + Foodservice sales, technical or relationship management experience 
  • Developed networks within Foodservice
  • Experience of managing high level relationships
  • Commercial experience managing large accounts
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of managing or mentoring junior employees
  • Desirable: QSR contacts and knowledge
  • Desirable: Technical food qualifications such as BSc in Food Tech
  • Desirable: Chef background

Salary

$130K- $170K base + Super + Bonus (dependent on experience)
