    THE OPPORTUNITY
    TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in the Scientific area to join the Delivery implementation and Performance team as a Technical Officer – Scientific on a permanent full-time basis based in Granville.
    The Technical Officer (Scientific) is responsible for supporting the delivery of education services through the maintenance of delivery locations and equipment, preparation and distribution of teaching resources and other related support and administrative functions.
    An industry knowledge in Health Sciences (Pathology) is desirable.

    ABOUT YOU
    We would love to hear from you if you have:
    • Certificate IV in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
    • Proven and demonstrated knowledge and experience in scientific procedures and safe operation and troubleshooting of relevant equipment used in chemistry, biology, or pathology laboratories. 
    • Demonstrated practical skills in applied chemistry and instrumentation including GC/MS, HPLC, UV/Vis and AAS spectroscopies. 
    • Knowledge and practical experience in the operation of pathology testing including haematology, histology, and molecular biology desirable but not essential.
    • An ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
