Job Description

Our client specializes in the manufacture and supply of corrosion and chemical resistant coatings and linings for the long-term protection of steel, concrete, and timber surfaces in the toughest corrosive environments.

POSITION

To plan, co-ordinate and monitor all delivery and receiving; order picking and shipping, and warehouse

management. To continue to be directly involved with manufacturing operations and build collaborative

relationships with Manufacturing, Sales Administration, BDM’s to understand needs/ requirements in order to

meet customer demand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a date folder system of all outstanding sales and internal orders to ensure despatch

on or before the nominated order despatch date.

  • Proactively communicates (verbally and documented in email as required) to the Operations

Manager and Sales Administrator if there are any sales or internal orders that cannot be

shipped in full on the nominated despatch date.

  • Supervises and works with the Assistant Storeman to prioritize orders for the picking, collating,

checking, and palletizing in readiness for their collection.

  • Ensures all goods are suitably packed and secure prior to pickup to mitigate any damage, loss

or injury whilst in-transit ahead of delivery to their destination.

  • Ensures all documentation is attached to and/or accompanies the goods to mitigate any delay,

confusion, or miss-delivery with the transport company.

  • Ensures all goods despatched are given to the respective agents with the express authority

and booking to collect them, i.e. maintain security of pickups.

  • Ensures all completed despatched order paperwork is collated and promptly on-forwarded to

Sales Administration for invoicing.

  • Ensures all product batch numbers are recorded for respective transactions and any expiry

dates are monitored in conjunction with QA procedures.

  • Ensures all dangerous goods are appropriately stored in accordance with all regulations.
  • All incoming goods are condition inspected upon offloading, appropriately stored away and

accurately receipted into Tencia on a timely basis. Respective photographs and details of any

loss or damage of incoming goods is made and escalated in a timely manner to assist with a

claim being raised.

  • Online booking for all dispatches as well as ensuring best pricing, taking into account service

required and urgency.

  • Follow up on all deliveries and report on delays/issues, etc.
    Ensures the accuracy of all stock items such that respective physical stock levels reflect those

in the computer system including all goods receipts, production and dispatches are recorded

daily.

  • Is accountable for maintaining the inventories to an acceptable level and ensuring stock

rotation occurs.

  • Lead the introduction of improvement activities such as bar-code scanning to reduce data

entry and improved accuracy.

  • In conjunction with the QA/Technical Manager, provides regular updates to the Perishable

Stock List including distribution to Sales Admin & BDM’s.

  • Have shared responsibility for the Quarantine store with the QA/Technical Manager (only

person authorized to release goods from quarantine).

  • Leads the entire planning, coordination and reconciliation of the annual stock take at

company sites together with third-party facilities, and contract manufacturers.

Monthly Stock counts, and 99% accuracy all round.

PREFERRED OR DESIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to comfortably and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. As the

interface between suppliers and end-users, this position may be expected to and must be

able to take the lead.

  • Persuasiveness – utilizing interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance. This role

requires the ability to persuade stakeholders internally and suppliers externally.

  • Must be collaborative in nature, yet have tenacity and drive. Many decisions will be made in a team environment.
  • Is flexible and able to react to changes as needed.
  • Has an eye to detail together with ability to maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Proactively communicates issues and concerns to stakeholders.
  • Is highly motivated, self-directed and has good time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Works well under set deadlines.
