About the role

Thiess Mount Arthur South is located just outside of Muswellbrook. As our next Rebuild Crew Fitter for the Mobile Fleet, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high quality solutions and results. 

Working a lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5, 12.5 hour days, nights and weekends, you will be part of a team that strives for the best in fleet maintenance and management,

In this role, you will:

  • Be part of the small team that focuses on major rebuilds of the mobile fleet
  • Fleet includes Cat 793’s, Cat 789’s, Cat D11’s, Cat D10’s and Cat 24M’s
  • Get to work in a brand new, bespoke rebuild workshop with overhead crane
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer based systems
  • Assist the team to effectively meet daily safety and maintenance targets for the project
  • Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times

About you

  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate 3 – Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment)
  • At least 2 years mining experience with exposure to mobile fleet rebuilds
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
  • You will also need to possess a high regard and practice of health and safety at all times
