The web developer supports the web team in the administration of matters relating to the design, build and maintenance of the department’s websites within the IT Solutions Section, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives

ABOUT THE JOB: 

• Provide administration and support for the day-to-day operations of the department’s web channels
• Provide technical advice and assistance support to user groups, external contractors and general employees in the design, development, testing, implementation, and enhancement of the department’s web channels.
• Manage assigned web project work and provide technical advice in a complex IT environment.
• Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Represent the agency at meetings, conferences and seminars.
• Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.

THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Understanding of web design, development and maintenance and a proven ability to apply this to the maintenance of websites and intranets
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with responsive front-end web development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery
• Knowledge of and proven ability to work within web standards and web accessibility guidelines
• Ability to provide sound and clear technical advice to stakeholders on web related projects
• Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time.
