Job Description

We are currently searching for a hands-on, can do, savvy, experienced & suitably qualified Management Accounts Officer/Accounts Payable to facilitate daily accounts payable, receivable/invoicing processes and provide supporting service & interfaces for the Administration Manager. 
 

  • Located in Perth CBD
  • Full time hours
  • Temporary to permanent position

 
Key responsibilities but not limited to;
 

  • Assist the Administration Manager, as required, to deliver the administrative requirements 
  • Facilitate the internal accounting and book-keeping function, ARAP, invoicing, purchase orders management, and data entry 
  • Facilitate claims relating to financial matters, creditor and debtors administration
  • Assist, when required, with the ATO in concert with external Accountant interface in relation to ITX, BAS, FBT, and PAYG
  • Assist, when required, with bank reconciliations, credit card payments, credit card check and credit management including managing the companies banking arrangements and bank accounts and the development of budgets and financial forecast
  • Direct debit and hire purchase management control
  • Assist with month end processes and journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliation
  • Assist with setting up credit application for new Suppliers as required
  • EXO system support, setting up new user, new creditors, job coding and branch code
  • Assist Accounts and Payroll Officer as required (leave coverage).
  • Comply with Statutory obligations and accredited systems as well as Company policy and Procedures for all administration undertakings
  • Assist, when required, with HR and IR matters, as well as performance appraisals, recruitment
  • Assist, when required, with QMS, OHS and ENV matters, as well as process improvements, controlled document and procedure reviews and audit process participation for company’s Administration
  • Assist, as required and/or directed, with any other activities within your remit and skills, qualifications, competencies and experience base

 
Skills & Experience required; 
 

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer with a successful SME – preferably in the mining, civil, services and indigenous business arena
  • Commensurate experience and possession of accounting qualifications appropriate to the future aspirations of the company
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the autonomous operation of accounts payable/receivable and general business administration processes
  • Preferred past experience with MYOB EXO, WageEasy and Microsoft Applications, particularly intermediate or advanced Excel skills
  • Proven high level customer and supplier relations management skills
  • Business administration skills, strong facilitation and negotiation skills with proven contract management and dispute resolution experience, knowledge and skills as well as proven organisational communication
    skills.
