What’s the story?  

We are looking for a part time Customer Sales Consultant to join the team in our Hobart retail store. This is a fixed term contract until April 2024, working Monday to Friday 8:45am to 4pm, with the occasional Saturday. In this role, you will deliver better health to our customers and to Australia through our provision of health services, our health system advocacy, and our work in the community. We have been developing new ways of working to adapt to the effects of COVID-19; our commitment is to ensure the safety and security of employees within our retail stores. 

The role: 

As a member of a strong and supportive team that puts our customers first, your role involves reaching sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service. By showing heart and empathy, you will contribute towards Medibank’s growth and deliver our purpose “Better Health for Better Lives”. 

Whilst you will be based in the retail store, you will service customers face-face as well as via our virtual channels (phone and webchat), so Contact Centre experience (or similar) is advantageous.

  • Involvement in corporate sales events off-site and building strong relationships with external stakeholders.

  • You are a highly motivated and engaged sales professional who thrives in a ‘sales through service’ culture 

  • You take pride in delivering outstanding service and delivery, in a fast-paced retail environment, by remaining positive, resilient, and accountable 

  • You put the customer first and are creative when approaching resolutions to customers’ needs 

  • You understand the importance of staying at the forefront of technology, and you enjoy applying this knowledge to meet your customers’ needs through channels such as social media
