Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking an Executive Assistant to join the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International and External Relations).The Executive Assistant provides high-level secretarial and executive assistant support to the DVC&VP (I&ER) in their capacity as leader of the portfolio.

About the Chancellery Division
Chancellery Division is responsible for strategy, including Indigenous strategy, government relations and policy, assurance and risk, international, marketing and communications, and business development. The Chancellery Division is led by the Vice-Chancellor and President with management delegated to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International and External Relations).

About the Portfolio
The International and External Relations (IER) Portfolio leads QUT’s engagement with international and governmental partners and stakeholders through strategy development and the provision of operational advice to faculties and the wider QUT community. The portfolio also conducts marketing, research, promotions and digital communications activities for the purposes of domestic and international student recruitment and, through the Marketing and Communication office, disseminates key information to the university’s staff and students.  The International and External Relations Portfolio is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International and External Relations). 

What you need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you will be someone who enjoys taking the initiative to provide excellent service and support across a broad range of activities each day.

You will demonstrate:

1.    Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree combined with subsequent relevant experience in an executive assistant capacity, or extensive experience as a high-level executive assistant.
2.    Advanced word processing capabilities and sound working knowledge of software and database packages including the Microsoft suite of products.
3.    Demonstrated attention to detail, and an ability to manage time and high-volume tasks efficiently to meet tight deadlines within the context of competing demands.
4.    Ability to work unsupervised, under pressure and with agility in addressing unexpected challenges at short notice.
5.    High level interpersonal and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to work as part of a team, and to consult and liaise with a wide range of people from culturally diverse backgrounds in a professional manner. 
6.    High level written communication skills to accurately prepare a range of correspondence and documents, including the ability to manage sensitive information within a confidential environment.

Remuneration:  $99,860 to $108,126 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $84,383 to $91,368 pa, 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Location:  Gardens Point
