Introduction

As a key member of the Service Guidance and Practice Branch, you will be responsible for presenting Agency policy, procedures, factsheets, guides and other documentation outlining the range of services funded by the Agency.The role is accountable to undertake a range of activities and tasks that are procedural, operational and administrative with a strategic focus to contribute and support the Agency’s objective to be a world-leading provider of services in the disability sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching, drafting and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and meets agency’s plain English and accessibility standards.
  • Interpreting the policy and legislative environment the branch operates in, including understanding and translating the applicable Act and Rules into Our Guidelines.
  • Developing or updating guidance material in response to participant and external stakeholder feedback.
  • Understanding the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
  • Providing service delivery knowledge and advice about procedural guidance, practice implementation and operational matters as needed to support an improved participant experience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, maintaining best practice and innovation in the branch.
  • Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.

Key Technical Expertise Requirements Essential:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and an ability to confidently research, review and interpret legislation and policy
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, while meeting defined timelines.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to work effectively with complex and/or sensitive matters
  • An understanding of the Mental Health/health/disability system across state and/or federal governments
