The Role

We are looking for a self-driven and motivated candidate to join our Orthodontic sales team. The role focuses on generating case production by contacting high producing doctors in their designated territory. You are responsible for generating new accounts, developing relationships with providers, guiding them through their first case submission, maintaining the relationship as well as generating referrals.

Reporting to the Business Manager Orthodontics your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for the organisation’s products/Services
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Co-ordinates sales effort with Marketing, Sales Management, Accounting, Customer Services and Logistics.
  • Analyses the territory potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organisation.
  • Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
  • Plans and organises personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time investment for the territory.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.
  •   The successful candidate will have:

  • Sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets, with a proven ability to quote and close.
  • Experience in dental/orthodontics or strong interest to upskill in this field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • The ability to quickly adapt and learn new software.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word/Excel).
  • Must be a team player.
  • Critical to the success of this role is also being a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, being highly organised and having excellent communication and presentation skills.
