We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Account Manager to cultivate and maximise the share of wallet within an existing account portfolio, whilst developing business with new clients to boost portfolio growth, both with the aim of meeting sales targets and maintaining budgets. This will be an in-field position, with on the road, face to face appointments, along with electronic methods (video/phone) of customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities of the position:

  • Sell a wide variety of industrial packaging solutions across a variety of sectors whilst creating value through differentiation, continuous improvements, and service
  • Maintain and grow sales and relationships within an existing portfolio of customers, whilst developing new business opportunities to add to your portfolio 
  • Understand customers commercial requirements whilst achieving optimal margin through agreed pricing strategy
  • Develop and execute on Account Management plans
  • Request quotations, place orders and follow through with internal Category, purchasing, marketing and customer service team members
  • Assist Management in sales forecast, sales pipeline and price increase negotiations
  • Forecast and forward plan customer requirements where possible to ensure a smooth continuity of supply
  • Monitor and report back Customer and Competitor activity, Risks & Opportunities.
  • Identifying opportunities for business improvement and strategic new business opportunities.
  • Managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, interacting with a diverse set of partners and prospective partners

 

Qualifications

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated Sales experience and track record in B2B Sales, ideally within the Industrial, Food & Beverage, or Health & Pharma markets. Packaging experience would be highly regarded
  • Ability to be a hunter and a farmer – seeking out new business opportunities, whilst also maximising share of wallet with your portfolio
  • Strong customer centricity and engagement abilities
  • Well-developed negotiation skills, excellent communication and relationship building skill set
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning including account management plans, and planning a pipeline of new business targets
  • The ability to set priorities to accommodate various workloads and meet daily deadlines
  • Develop and demonstrate specialist product and industry knowledge coupled while dealing with clients at all levels, with the goal of translating client needs into a complete solution
  • The ability to think critically when making plans and can demonstrate the ability to execute a particular strategy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
