POOL ATTENDANT

Council is seeking a Pool Attendant to join the Infrastructure Services Department.

Key responsibilities for this position include;

  • Assist with the Supervision and control of all aspects of day to day swimming pool operation to ensure Compliance with all relevant Local Government, Aquatic, Health and Safety Guide Lines and Councils Policies and Procedures.
  • Carry out maintenance of pool water quality.
  • Carry out maintenance of plant, pumps and surrounds.
  • Mentor junior lifeguards to enhance skills.
  • Maintain required skills, competencies and qualifications required to fulfil role.
  • Participate in an on-call roster to monitor, manage and maintain Pool assets after hours.
  • Any other task as directed by Aquatic Venue Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of the Swimming Pool.
  • The position attracts a base salary of $952.18 – $1176.12 per week (dependent upon qualifications and experience) This is permanent position attracting NSW Local Government Award conditions (2020), which includes a 38 hour week and a 9 day fortnight.
