We are looking for an active and efficient Restaurant Assistant Manager to join us. Your role primarily consists of maintaining and managing the restaurant operations. To be successful in this role of Restaurant Manager, you are expected to have exceptional knowledge about restaurant management and operations.

You will be required to work in shifts and even, on weekends and holidays. You will be responsible for managing the inventory for the restaurant when required.   You will also be training employees on how to deal with customers and provide customer satisfaction.

 

We expect you to provide strategic plans to increase the profitability of the restaurant.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing daily restaurant operations seasonal promotions and planning special functions
  • Planning menus in consultation with Chefs/Cooks
  • Monitoring the quality of restaurant services and dishes served at all times, through assessment of customer feedback, in maintaining a high standard of operations
  • Monitor food preparation and health and safety practices to ensure the restaurant and staff are presentable and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Dealing with and resolving customer complaints and assessing feedback to continuously work on improving service
  • Greeting customers, and assisting in taking orders from time to time, to offer a high level of customer service
  • Working closely with the Director to set up the sales forecast and reviewing and monitoring expenditure according to budget limitations
  • Organizing the daily and weekly rosters for staff Managing recruitment processes such as selecting staff, carrying out and organizing training as required and supervising staff to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure financial transactions are managed smoothly and accurately
  • Undertaking daily and monthly banking and budget reports  

 

Requirements:

This position requires the minimum of a relevant diploma level qualification or equivalent plus two years’ experience and in the absence of the qualification, three years of industry experience will be considered.

  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and coordinate tasks under pressure  

Salary: $55,000- $60,000 per year
