Our client is the independent federal agency in charge of organising, conducting, and supervising federal Australian elections, by-elections, and referendums.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced, cross-functional Web Developer to join our client’s team. This role requires a dynamic individual who is highly motivated and has a deep understanding of design, build and maintenance of our client’s websites within the IT Solutions area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise in website administration, web publishing and front-end web development.

Website Administration

Web Publishing

Front-End Web Development

Key responsibilities of the position:

Provide technical advice and assistance support to user groups, external contractors and general employees in the design, development, testing, implementation, and enhancement of our client’s web channels

Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Represent the agency at meetings, conferences and seminars.

Make and communicate decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures

Other Skills & Experience:

Understanding of web design, development and maintenance and a proven ability to apply this to the maintenance of websites and intranet

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with responsive front-end web development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery

Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time.
