Who are we looking for?

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Senior Intranet Content Adviser to join Marketing and Communication, Chancellery Division.

As Senior Intranet Content Adviser you will be a web professional, part of a creative and innovative team and have a passion for quality content that enriches experiences for the QUT community. You will play a key role in formulating, testing and implementing strategies to continuously improve the QUT intranet and create a high-quality experience for users.You’ll be working in the Intranet Team (Internal Communications – Marketing and Communication Department) which is responsible for service management and continual improvement of QUT’s intranet platforms including the HiQ Website (Student Intranet) and Digital Workplace (Staff Intranet). Senior Content Advisers will work with the Intranet Team Leader to direct the activities of team Self-Service Content Advisers.

About Marketing and Communication

The Marketing and Communication Department is responsible for:

  •  Building and protecting QUT’s brand and reputation
  •  Engaging and recruiting future students
  •  Ensuring communications from QUT are effective and of high professional standard.

As well as professional services provided to the university community, the Department is responsible for a variety of corporate communication functions and oversees relevant policies, protocols and governance arrangements.

What you need to succeed

Your expertise and initiative, combined with your ability to work as an excellent team player will be vital to your success in this role.

You will demonstrate:

  1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in a relevant area in conjunction with at least four years’ subsequent relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated high level ability to write for the web, including extensive knowledge of web standards, accessibility and usability.
  3. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines and to produce work with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  4. Strong understanding of web content management technologies including working with HTML and WCMS platforms.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills that demonstrate experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels

Remuneration:  $110,184 to $120,528 (HEW7) (inclusive of $93,106 to $101,847, 17% superannuation and leave loading)
