About the program

The Intern program provides students with weeks of paid employment, giving you the opportunity to participate in the industry-leading oil and gas projects while acquiring practical skills relevant to your field of study.

We also provide education and training during the program to help cultivate your professional skills within a diverse, inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace.

We encourage candidates who self-identify as neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Tourette’s, etc.) to apply. The Intern Program is part of a Neurodiversity Inclusion Program and will include accommodations and support throughout.

About the role

During the Intern Program, you will work across the Subsurface teams comprising of Geologists, Geophysicists, and Engineers on a variety of projects designed to grow your capabilities and add business value. You can also expect cross-functional opportunities that increase your business knowledge as you collaborate to deliver results.

This role will be based in Chevron’s new building at One The Esplanade. 

Eligibility / Requirements

For Earth Science, we encourage applications from motivated and talented university students with individual stream or combination of geology, earth science, physics, geophysical and geological disciplines or related disciplines, with a keen interest in the oil and gas industry.

To be eligible for the Chevron Intern Program applicants must be:

  • In their penultimate or final year of an undergraduate degree or postgraduates.

  • Effective communication skills with strong analytical skills and a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

  • Available for the specified duration of employment from November 3 until February 4.

  • Eligible to legally work and live in Australia permanently.
