About the role:

The Evidence Preparation Section forms part of the Special Projects Unit and is responsible for the preparation of evidentiary material to investigators, the administration of warrants and all statutory reporting provisions regulated by legislation. The work is oversighted by the Victorian Inspectorate and the Commonwealth Ombudsman. As the successful applicant, you will undertake a variety of administrative duties and provide customer service in support of these functions.

Your duties will include:

  • Input and maintenance of data for legislative recording, reporting and destruction purposes
  • Production of evidentiary material
  • Prioritise and manage requests for the transcription of material
  • Liaise with stakeholders such as investigators and telecommunications carriers
  • Producing and providing investigators with documentation to enable legislative compliance
  • Tracking of prosecution outcomes for necessary annual reporting requirements
  • As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Sound computer skills, particularly in relation to word processing, data entry and software packages
  • Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x part-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is part time, the salary $56,271 – $72,262 plus superannuation will be pro rata
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
