Perenti’s Contract Mining Division is comprised of hard rock underground mining contractors Barminco and African Underground Mining Services (AUMS) and surface drilling and hard rock surface mining contractors Ausdrill and African Mining Services (AMS).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Contract Mining executive team in Canning Vale. This role provides instrumental support to the President of Contract Mining and is an integral part of a growing international business.

What we are looking for

You are an experienced Executive Assistant, having provided executive support to top-level executives in the past. A proactive and positive individual with excellent communication skills, you will build relationships with stakeholders effortlessly, equally able to interact with directors or underground miners. In such a busy role, you will be organised and disciplined, and able to multi-task and task switch as required.

Requirements of the role

  • Provide high level executive assistance and administrative support to the President
  • Manage and maintain the diary for the President including internal and external commitments
  • Email management and communications
  • Coordinating meetings, functions and business events
  • Create agendas, supporting documents & presentations required for meetings
  • Compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings
  • Managing travel, accommodation, itineraries, and background briefings
  • Preparation, collation and distribution of documents, including monthly reports
  • Communicate with the organisation’s Executives, senior leaders, suppliers, and clients at the direction of the President
  • Maintain high level confidentiality
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and operate in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail, with strong administrative, planning and organisation skills
  • High level written and oral communication skills, and high-quality report writing
