Our client is looking for a Web Developer who is motivated and skilled to assist the web team in managing tasks related to designing, building, and maintaining websites within the IT Solutions Section of the Digital Technology Branch.
The Web Developer will be involved in section planning for short-term tasks and work area planning for longer-term initiatives. The responsibilities of the role include handling work that ranges from moderately complex to complex, working with limited guidance, and utilizing expertise in website administration, web publishing, and front-end web development.
What your day will look like:
Provide administration & support day-to-day operations of client web channels Advise and assist user groups, contractors, and employees in web design, development, testing, implementation, and enhancement. Manage web projects and provide technical guidance in a complex IT environment. Develop and maintain internal and external relationships, liaising with stakeholders on policy, project, and operational issues, and representing the agency at meetings and events. Provide accurate specialist advice and reporting on team responsibilities. Make informed decisions based on expertise and knowledge, following regulations, best practices, and procedures. Contribute to election preparation and delivery activities according to individual responsibilities. Skills required:
Demonstrated understanding of web design, development, and maintenance, with a track record of successfully applying this knowledge to maintain websites and intranets. Expertise in responsive front-end web development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery, and ability to adhere to web standards and web accessibility guidelines. Ability to provide stakeholders with clear and reliable technical advice on web-related projects. Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively, deliver quality results on time, and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to respond to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network. Strong analytical abilities, with a talent for drawing accurate conclusions and implementing innovative initiatives that contribute to change and business improvement strategies. Experience managing staff, identifying training needs across a team, and promoting professionalism. Requirements:
