About the role

Laing O’Rourke are recruiting for a HR Coordinator to join the South Eastern Program Alliance team based in Mont Albert and on projects.

Laing O’Rourke, as part of the South East Program Alliance (SEPA), is working with LXRP, Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) and Jacobs to develop and deliver value-for-money engineering solutions for multiple level crossing removals.

The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) is a delivery entity created by the Victorian Government to remove 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across Victoria by 2025. It is one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in Victoria’s history.

Our current pipeline of works includes major station upgrades, track duplications and a range of other critical rail infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing coordination support to the People & Capability team in relating to employee life cycle activities such as onboarding, redeployment & demobilisation
  • Delivering effective and efficient coordination & administrative services that support the People, Capability & Inclusion portfolio. This includes activities such as audits, compliance and reporting
  • Maintaining people related registers & systems
  • Coordination of training with internal and external providers based on project and program requirements and needs
  • Ensuring training records and tickets/qualifications are maintained within our compliance systems
  • Maintain privacy obligations and confidentiality, generate reports, respond to client/parent company requirements and other sensitive personal information.
  • Supporting the mobilisation team when required to assist with the SEPA mobilisation process
  • Providing general HR coordination support for the People Advisor

About you

  • Previous experience in project or corporate HR Coordination position preferably within civil construction
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Desire to develop and advance your career further in HR
  • Qualification related to HR or working towards one is desirable but not mandatory
  • Self-organised and motivated to complete work to deadlines.
