As a Human Resources Advisor, you will be responsible for responding to all HR related queries and will work to ensure that more complex HR queries that require further investigation, or professional judgement, are managed in a timely and client centred way.

This role would be suitable for an enthusiastic HR Officer/Coordinator that is looking to take the next step in their HR career.

Please note, we currently have 6 and 12 month, maximum term contracts with the potential for extension with WFH options due to internal secondments.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

  • Manage HR related inquiries via telephone, email or, where appropriate, in person.
  • Track, resolve and where necessary, escalate or refer inquiries to the relevant Senior HR Advisor, Consultant or HR Shared Services Advisor.
  • Maintain records of employee and leader interactions, recording details of inquiries or comments, and updating personnel files as required.
  • Coach employees and leaders on the application of HR policies, benefits, employment conditions and procedures as required.
  • Build relationships with key business stakeholders, partners and People and Culture team members.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Tertiary qualifications, or working towards qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role providing HR advice to employees or leaders.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary.
  • Coaching capability enabling managers to deliver effective HR outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting HR related policies and legislation and providing advice to employees and leaders.
