    We now offer a fantastic opportunity for a Lecturer in Nursing and Mental Health to join our world-leading institution.  This full-time, fixed term to 31 Dec 2024 position is based at the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health in Mount Isa

    What you can accomplish in the role
    Contributing to the development, coordination and delivery of Nursing curriculum, you will provide innovative learning activities and assessments to facilitate engaged learning experiences for a diverse range of students. You will conduct face-to-face and online lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, seminars and clinical sessions, and will also play a major role in scholarship and research activities.
    You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a rural and remote mental health services and workforce through innovation in education, clinical work, supervision and collaboration with key community stakeholders for Murtupuni Centre for Rural Remote Health (MCRRH) footprint.

    What you will bring to the role
    With a postgraduate qualification and current nursing registration in Division 1 with AHPRA, you will have experience in learning, teaching and curriculum development with a flexible, blended and online approach. You can demonstrate an ability to identify and address issues unique to regional, rural, remote and Indigenous nursing education and can work effectively in a small, culturally diverse and dispersed team.  Your effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across organizations, professions and regions will see you improve access to mental health services across the MCRRH footprint

    The Centre for Rural and Remote Health (CRRH)  is part of the Australian Rural Health Education Network (ARHEN), a national network of 15 University Departments of Rural Health (UDRH) funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health under the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training Program.  Service learning is a transformative pedagogy that seeks to integrate meaningful community service with academic content and skill, it is a collaborative relationship between the community and the classroom that equally prioritises student learning and community service
