ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Field Service Diesel Technician to support our customers located in the Bendigo and surrounding areas (essentially Echuca to Bendigo).

 

This is a full-time permanent position, working either a 7 x 7 (Wednesday to Tuesday, 12 hour day) or 5 x 2 (Monday – Friday) roster.

A typical day of a Field Service Technician will include:

  • Onsite technical troubleshooting and fault finding including; diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on Cat equipment and their components; hydraulics, transmissions and engines   
  • Providing outstanding customer service to our loyal customers
  • Compiling and completing accurate reporting
  • Working autonomously to manage your time and maximise efficiency
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Liaising with our internal service and parts department
  • Maintaining a William Adams service vehicle

ABOUT YOU 

 

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Be a qualified Diesel Technician with extensive experience with Caterpillar machines (or similar)
  • Be able to service customers and their equipment to a very high standard
  • Have advanced mechanical diagnostic skills with Cat computer diagnostics knowledge (great to have) 
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with strong work ethic
  • A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
  • Hold a current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated, a self-starter and to work unsupervised
