Stamford Hotels and Resorts is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources (HR) Team that works across two hotels: Stamford Grand Adelaide and Stamford Plaza Adelaide.

The Role 

This is a generalist role with a wide range of responsibilities, including: recruitment, work health and safety, payroll and general HR administration.

Your day to day activities will be:

  • Monitor and maintain internal HR systems, ensuring the timely processing of requests, escalating or providing support as required
  • Manage and coordinate responses to the HR central email address
  • Coordinate staff training and development
  • Organising and actively participating in WHS initiatives and committee meetings
  • Manage workers compensation claims and return to work 
  • Provide support on all HR transactional issues and administrative support
  • Provide general information regarding the application of HR company policies and practices
  • Providing support with the coordination of day to day operation of HR functions as on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, recruitment and general HR administration
  • Champion employee well-being projects

About you

  • Previous experience in a comparative role, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in hospitality industry is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, time-management and a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities
