    About the role:

    We are looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to join our high performing, collaborative team on a full-time permanent basis. 

    Reporting to the Team Leader – Business Sales, you will be responsible for managing new business through provided leads within the small to medium enterprise sectors. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural flair for building strong relationships, experience in working with sales targets, and strong customer management. Whilst it’s advantageous to have gained your sales experience from within the energy industry, this is not essential. You will need to be a confident self-starter, able to work under pressure and be a team player. This is a great opportunity if you are wanting to pave out a career within one of Australia’s leading energy businesses.

    Duties:

  • End to end sales management and acquiring new business accounts.
  • Develop, grow and follow up new business opportunities through cold calling and warm lead response in a professional phone-based manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers (billing, legal and customer operations teams) and external customers (business customers and industry consultants)
  • Provide strong sales and demonstrate a sound knowledge of commercial acumen.
  • Various sales and contracts administration tasks
  • Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience and track record of exceeding targets for both new business development and retention.
  • B2B experience in converting cold and warm leads via outbound tele-sales and face to face.
  • Experience with MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word (desirable to have Microsoft Dynamics 365 knowledge).
  • A strong team player, self-starter, great communicator with a proactive approach
  • Experience working in a professional and collaborating team environment.
