About this Opportunity

We are seeking a team-oriented individual to take up the full time permanent position of Laboratory Technician in our Harvey Laboratory team.  You must be self-motivated, able to work a seven day shift roster which will include weekends and nights as required.  You must also have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team. A working knowledge of HACCP and a strong communications skills and a dedication to get it right the first time.

Reporting to the Laboratory Coordinator your duties will include:

• Chemical and bacteriological analysis of in-line and finished product and raw materials.
• Ensure prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, both written and oral.
• Maintain equipment calibration schedules.
• Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required.

Qualification

Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent qualification OR significant experience in a laboratory/testing supporting a food manufacturing operations.
