The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all operational functions are in line with customer expectations and carried out in a safe and efficient manner. This role will lead a performance driven culture and a team who collaborate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the organisation and execution of receipt, storage, picking and despatch of goods within NSW to other States and to New Zealand
  • Execute site plan to improve safety, service, people and costs
  • Respond and navigate actions for investigations and safety incidents
  • Manage the delivery of the labour plan to scale warehouse requirements
  • Work with budgets & forecasts to support Logistics Manager
  • Engage and establish rapport with stakeholders in manufacturing, planning sales, Trade Network and customer service
  • Monitor and achieve key metrics against logistics productivity KPIs
  • Promote a safe system of operation in the workplace at all times
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 years in a similar role managing a team of warehouse staff, in a unionised environment
  • Experience in delivering changes within a Logistics environment
  • Proven high quality leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Capable of managing a diverse team with varying levels of experience
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships 
  • Exceptional planning and prioritisation skills
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen
  • Demonstrated relevant software skills
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System or Transport Management System (preferred)
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday: 38 hours
