Super Gardens is Victoria’s longest standing Commercial Grounds Maintenance, Landscape Construction and Turf Management specialists, servicing a diverse range of clients for over 33 years.  Now, part of the larger, international, Australasian Landscape Services (ALS Group comprising of Green Options, Skyline Landscape Services and Recreational Services – New Zealand), we have strong ambitions to continue our growth.

We are experiencing continued growth and have a range of high end commercial projects, including hardscapes, playgrounds, open space, street scapes and soft scapes for a range of high profile clients including schools and universities, councils and land and property developers.   

As we continue to grow, we have opportunities for Qualified Gardeners/Landscapers with proven gardening maintenance and or landscaping experience to join our teams across Melbourne. With projects in the South East and North West, and expertise in softscapes and garden maintenance required, we could have the right position for you!  Working closely with our Landscape Supervisors and Project Managers, your key challenges include:

• Softscape duties: including garden bed preparation, planting and basic irrigation work;
• Ground maintenance including: mowing, pruning, hedging, weeding and seasonal leaf removal;
• Gardening and turf management duties including: tilling soil, identification and treatment of weeds, pests and diseases, feeding and fertilisation of plants and lawns;
• Completing garden upgrades as required, including: lawn renovation, stripping and replanting garden beds and coring lawns; and
• Recommending and implementing improvements to enhance the appearance and garden presentation.

To be successful in this hands-on role, you will have:  

• A certificate III in Horticulture or Landscape Construction 
• An ability to prioritise scheduled work requirements and meet tight deadlines;
• Reliability, with a strong work ethic and able to work unsupervised as required;
• A current manual driver’s license;
• A strong customer focus;
• Strong communication skills;
• Have strong attention to detail; and
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a dynamic and busy team environment.
