This opportunity

As Senior Network Automation Engineer, you will be responsible to design, develop, deliver, and support transmission-related task and network automation solutions for various stakeholders in transmission engineering, operations, projects, finance etc. You will be working in a data-driven environment using industry leading platforms, tools, and best-practices.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, deliver, maintain and be accountable for automation solutions and toolkits to improve productivity and ultimately achieve cost savings

Liaise with platform/software vendors in planning, designing, and delivering automation use cases

Work closely with Architecture Planning, Engineering, and Project Management teams, to ensure successful implementation of projects

Create and maintain code/design documentations and git repositories

Manage and maintain lifecycles of our lab environment/applications and support Lifecycle Management projects related to production EMS (element management system) platforms

Support in preparations of Long-Range Planning and Budget requests

Stay updated with the latest automation technology trends and best practices

Knowledge and experience

5 years experience in ICT- telecom engineering/support or networks focused software development

Essential knowledge of telecommunication networks, network management systems, EMS basic functionalities, and OSS integrations

Experience working with Linux systems, Bash scripting, Python or JavaScript programming

Strong understanding of Ethernet switching and IP routing technologies – OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, VPWS, VPLS etc

Strong understanding of YANG Data Model, XML, JSON, or YAML Encoding, NETCONF and RESTCONF Protocol

Experience of working with one or more of network automation toolkits Ansible, Puppet, or Chef as well as experience with CI/CD pipeline using Gitlab, Jenkins, Argo CD, or other similar Gitops toolkit

Experience with one or more of the following databases and their query languages: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Neo4j, and Arango DB

Strong analytical, network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
