Wholesale International Account Manager

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of Vocus International headquartered customers and prospects. The principal role is to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets for growth and retention. The WAM will work with existing customers to grow their spend with Vocus, as well as bring on new customers.

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and develop prospective customers and win new business.
  • Work a defined set of International Customers to win business by leveraging relationships at multiple levels within an organisation
  • Be accountable for maintaining existing revenue and incremental sales with existing customers, in alignment with team strategy
  • Prepare compelling sales quotes and proposals, including formal RFIs and RFPs
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to appropriate levels i.e. It is expected that the Wholesale AM will generate and manage a pipeline of at least 5 times their annual target
  • Influence and educate customers on Vocus Products, vision and value proposition
  • Work internally to provide product and service feedback to ensure customer centric product enhancements.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive landscape and provide commentary to internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate equitable commercial agreements
  • Represent the organisation at industry events when required
  • Demonstrate proficient technical understanding of Vocus’ product and services
  • Manage expenses to a controlled budget, which includes regular lodgement of company credit card reconciliations
  • Comply with all Company processes and procedures
  • Work effectively with others within the business to facilitate positive outcomes for customers
  • Develop sales plans for identified key prospects and customers
  • Continually learning about new products and improving selling skills
  • Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of factors shaping the International Wholesale Telecommunications Market
  • 5+ years key account management in the telecommunications industry
  • Track record of meeting targets
  • Technical understanding of core telecommunications products and business drivers
  • A naturally confident networker and relationship builder
  • Ability to manage a pipeline with multiple accounts across multiple time zones
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running
