The Position

St John of God Bunbury Hospital  located in the south west of Western Australia, is regarded as one of the finest private hospitals outside the metropolitan area.

With 145 beds and more than 330 highly qualified medical practitioners, our health care facility caters for a variety of medical and surgical admissions, palliative care, maternity services, plus allied health and community-based services. 

We are currently seeking a Coordinator Volunteer Services to join our Volunteer Services Team. 

Whilst working in this rewarding role you will lead the development, implementation, evaluation and promotion of Volunteer Services and programs across the hospital. You will also be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders to develop areas of work and to ensure the delivery of effective, high quality support from volunteers within the hospital. You will support patient care through our Volunteer Program and recruit, market, and administer the volunteer service within St John of God Bunbury Hospital.

This position is being offered on a permanent part time basis. The successful candidate will work hours per fortnight ( FTE). 

The successful candidate must meet these essential selection criteria requirements:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Previous experience in coordinating volunteers, including the recruitment, training and support of volunteers.
  • Highly developed communication and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver sound outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Sound computer skills, including the ability to use word processing and spreadsheets.
