The Opportunity

Teva has a fantastic opportunity for a Research Assistant in Antibody Generation. This role will contribute to the single B cell screening workflows for therapeutic antibody discovery by employing sequencing, antibody expression and cell assay techniques.

How You’ll Spend your Day

  • This is a laboratory-based role within the Antibody Generation team where you will undertake a range of activities including general tissue culture and maintenance of mammalian cell lines, executing single B cell workflows including; antibody sequencing, cloning, mammalian expression, confirmatory assays and protein purification, generation of reagents for immunisations and screening.
  • There will be opportunities to learn new technologies and techniques and expand your knowledge in your areas of interest.
  • You will be required to keep detailed and accurate experimental records and to present your work in internal meetings.
     

Your Experiences and Qualifications

  • A BSc (Hons) in life sciences with emphasis on molecular biology or similar In depth knowledge of general molecular biology techniques required
  • High level of proficiency and experience in RNA/DNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR, DNA sequencing, cloning and vector design
  • Strong experience in mammalian cell culture techniques
  • Previous experience with SPR techniques and/or cell analysis by flow cytometry will be highly regarded
  • Additional knowledge of protein biochemistry techniques will be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail, good communication, documentation skills and ability to multi-task
  • Keen interest in learning new technology and an imagination for practical application will be highly valued
  • Team player with flexible approach to work and commitment to continuous development
