This company is an iconic Australian financial institution. They are regarded as a tier 1 organisation with both local and international reach.      

Role Overview

You will be a part of team that is developing low-latency flow trading capabilities and you will bring your technical expertise to focus on the FX markets space.

Previous experience with FX trading systems is highly desired, however strong software engineering experience with core Java within the financial markets space is expected.

You will be working on both existing and greenfield real-time trading applications.

Skills & Experience

• Experience building large well-tested resilient systems
• Excellent knowledge of core Java including concurrency best practices.
• Strong believer in well-tested code

Desirable:

• Financial experience
• Reactive systems – Rx and/or Akka
• Distributed source control such as Git, Mercurial or Bitkeeper
• React or Caplin Trader
• Kubernetes
• Kafka
• Microservices
