Timber Yard/hardware Counter Sales Position at City of Kingston (Moorabbin, VIC)

Job Description

We are a small family owned Timberyard located in Moorabbin seeking an energetic, motivated and reliable person to join our highly effective sales team. This full-time internal Counter Sales role focuses on preparing quotes, orders and providing exceptional customer service. Experience in the timber/hardware industry space will be highly regarded but we are willing to train the right candidate with career aspirations to progress within the company and with a view towards long term employment with us.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Computer processing counter/telephone orders and quotes in an efficient and accurate manner

Liaising with various suppliers to source products and information for customers

General shop keeping duties including restocking hardware and maintaining a tidy space

On occasions there may be yard duties including pick/pack customer orders and putting away stock

We are looking for an individual who possess the below skills:

Knowledge of Timber and Hardware is advantageous but not essential

Ability to communicate with a range of customers/suppliers to deliver outstanding customer service

Good computer skills

Previous experience processing quotes/orders preferably within the timber and building industry

A capability to undertake physical tasks safely

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

Ability to work independently as well as contribute as a team member

A willingness to learn and have fun whilst getting the job done

Summary of role requirements:

Looking for candidates available to work on weekdays and Saturdays

1 year of relevant work experience required for this role
