About the Role
This exciting new role is an administrative position that will support the HDR Graduate Research division which has oversight over the HDR Application, Enrolment and Candidature life cycle. The successful incumbent will have excellent written skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously.

The Graduate Research Officer is an administrative role that will contribute to the processing of HDR admissions and scholarship applications as well as candidature applications. This position is responsible for ensuring that all service levels and quality standards are followed in relation to processing of applications. This position provides expert assistance to the HDR Admissions Specialist, HDR Candidature Specialist, Team Leader, HDR Admissions and Scholarships and Team Leader HDR Candidature and Examinations. The position reports to the Team Leader, HDR Admissions and Scholarships.

About You 
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to enable the incumbent to liaise effectively with staff, students and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work cooperatively within a team.
  • A strong commitment to customer service principles.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant work experience; or experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in administrative fields; or a combination of relevant experience and education or training.
