Bus Assistant Night Shift Refueler at Brisbane City Council (East Brisbane, QLD)

Job Description

The Role

Working in a team of 6 refuelers and the night shift Mechanic, the night shift Bus Assistant is responsible for the night refuelling of 170 Brisbane City Council buses.

As the role is largely unsupervised, to be successful you MUST HAVE the following skills and experience:

experience in performing basic routine vehicle maintenance including tyres, oil and lubrication, refuelling, cleaning and maintaining the general condition of vehicles

current HR Licence

strong track record of delivering quality work on time to tight deadlines

sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental Protection policies and procedures

competent communication skills and the ability to develop good working relationships

computer literacy and competent keyboard skills

the ability to work the hours from 6:30pm – 2:00am week days with overtime available on the weekends.
