About the company

Our client is an Australian owned organic infant formula and baby food producer company that is now distributing and growing sizably internationally.

To date they are the only Australian-made organic infant formula on the Australian market.

The company’s product range includes infant formula, follow-on formula, toddler milk, baby rice, baby porridge, apple and cinnamon breakfast, teething rusks, brown rice pasta, baby macaroni and spelt pasta, grain and fruit snacks, ready to serve baby meals, and vegetable macaroni.

They have their infant formula site based in SE suburbs where they are requiring Manufacturing Operators to work on their afternoon shift on a contract casual basis with a possibility to become permanent.

About the role

Several opportunities currently exist for a number of Manufacturing Operators to join the team based in Melbourne South Eastern Suburbs on an ongoing contract basis with a view to become ongoing to start ASAP.

This is a contract on going role offering 40 hours a week and you must be flexible to work morning, day and afternoon shifts across Monday to Friday between 6 am – 8 pm for an 8 hour shift. The hourly pay rate is $35 per hour.

If you come with a manufacturing environment/packing experience that would be highly advantageous.

Reporting to the Production Manager, responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Blending and mixing of raw materials
• Operating Machinery
• Debagging and weighing of ingredients
• Cleaning and maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Following food safety regulations and SOPs
• You may also be asked to do forklift duties: operate forklift (High Reach Forklift Experience), Wrapping and inverting pallets

To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:

Skills & experience:

• Proven experience within a Food/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment is beneficial
• Having excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and time management skills
• You must possess initiative, enthusiasm and come with a strong attention to detail

• Previous experience in operating a forklift is essential along with a current forklift and driver’s licence.

There will be up to 25kg lifting required in the role.

Candidates must have a car.
