What success looks like in this role:

The  Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Asia Pacific Talent Acquisition Leader and work closely with the wider TA team, Regional Human Resources (HR) and Business Leaders to identify and hire the highest caliber talent, both internal and external, for positions across key locations within Australia and New Zealand.

This exciting and autonomous role will be sought as a subject matter expert for specific domains, industries or functions and will establish strong partnerships with the business leaders and lead activities in sourcing, assessing, hiring and managing full recruitment lifecycle.

This role is key in new process identification and development and will directly create and foster diverse candidate pipelines and work with client groups t understand potential hiring needs.

You will deliver value by:

Recruitment

  • Sourcing and identifying candidates through conventional and non-conventional methods of recruitment including cold calling, internet mining and networking, etc.

  • Pre-evaluating prospective candidates through resume reviews and pre-screening.

  • Presenting high qualified and diverse candidates to hiring managers.

  • Leading in multiple projects within ANZ and wider Asia Pacific geography.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with “talent pools” of exceptionally qualified candidates.

  • Tracking, managing and evaluating various sourcing channels and job boards used by Talent Acquisition and identify new methods of discovering candidates.

  • Ensuring outstanding candidate experience (maintenance, follow-up, keeping warm and closing).

  • Using closing techniques that addresses a candidate’s motivations for job acceptance.

  • Coordinating and scheduling candidate interviews between candidates, hiring managers and interview teams.

  • Advising hiring managers on competitive offers in relation to both the internal and external markets.

  • Creating and maintaining job postings on internal and external websites, job boards and publications.

  • Working hand in hand with the internal HR Business Leaders/cross functional teams and managing candidates up until the onboarding phase.

  • Ensuring full and complete utilization of the ATS and reporting systems to manage resume/CV files and candidate data as well as preparing performance and candidate pipeline reports.

  • Researching the industry landscape, staying on top of market trends.

  • Pro-actively providing market intelligence to Hiring Managers/Workforce Management Team for upcoming, new and existing demand.

  • Demonstrating the value of the TA function, by advocacy of work and key activities to the stakeholder community.

  • Project Activities/Key Initiatives

  • Providing strong focus on key Asia Pacific projects and initiatives that drive business benefit for TA function (e.g. reduced time to fill, cost per hire, Employer Value Proposition and branding process efficiency).

  • Actively participating in early talent and diversity hiring initiatives.

  • Completing regular reporting on recruitment activity and responding to ad-hoc reporting requests.

  • Acting as “subject matter expert” within Australia and New Zealand on the use of Workday.

    You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven experience within an internal/RPO function is preferable, but a track record of direct sourcing using multiple methodologies such as the internet, social media and e-sources as a research tool is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for broad range of positions; must be able to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible.

  • Ability to work across multiple countries and business leaders simultaneously to effectively eliminate roadblocks and drive successful execution of the recruitment process.

  • Exceptional customer service, candidate management and relationship building skills.

  • Metrics-driven attitude, strong analytical skills, computer-savvy and results-oriented.

  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve individual objectives as well as organizational results.

  • Experience using recruiting ATS, Workday knowledge is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
