Truck Delivery Driver

Are you an experienced Truck Delivery Driver/Yard person? Like power tools, excavators and everything in between? Love trucks but also love being at home?

Business is booming in construction and here at McNab! We’ve secured a large pipeline of diverse projects for some of Australia’s leading clients and we are looking for the best people in the industry to join us during this growth.

You will be joining our Plant & Equipment Team and day to day will;

• Ensure efficient, accurate and safe delivery of McNab plant & equipment (ranging from power tools to excavators and everything in between!)
• Handle the loading and unloading of the delivery vehicle/s
• Conduct general labouring, maintenance and cleaning of plant and equipment
• Attend to the maintenance and cleanliness of the workshop and yard
• Deliver a high level of service to all internal and external stakeholders
• Manage/maintain vehicle registers and service records of equipment
• Test and tag equipment
• Assist with general admin requirements
• Support the Equipment Hire Manager with any needs

To be successful in this position you will have:

• A current QLD Drivers Licence and MR/HR Licence
• Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
• A safe driving record
• Construction blue/white card (essential)
• A willingness to take on general labouring and cleaning duties around the yard
• A basic mechanical aptitude or mechanical trade (highly desirable)
• A test and tag ticket (desirable but not essential)
• Flexible working attitude to deal with reactive requests (deliveries etc.)
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team
